Why donate? I am creating a climate action movement through thought leadership and moral leadership. This includes the blog articles and podcasts you find here, my weekly climate radio show (every Tuesday, 4-5:00 Pacific time), speaking to groups, and a whole lot more. I also do some consulting. Some of this pays, some does not, but I think all of it is valuable. The more money donated, the more time I can put on the most valuable items, regardless of what they pay – or do not.
When there is enough money, there will be TV ads during the news, and full-page ads in the Globe and Mail. They will air views like those expressed here. Ad #1, if they’ll run it, will lay out the case for charging Rex Tillerson with crimes against humanity – and call for it in defence of us all. Failing that, I’ll find a way to get the message out. 
Money from any source funds my campaign to move us to a social tipping point where most of us suddenly ‘get’ climate change. They will therefore be equally suddenly eager to change to a green economy that is stable and sustainable, meaning it serves people, planet, and prosperity. I also seek to show the path forward to this economy and sustainability.

[...] Now, having established that I do make money writing about climate change, peak oil, going green, and so forth, some question my objectivity. But think about it; I could have chosen to write about anything. I could be writing that global warming is NOT occurring; that would seem a more lucrative field. People get grants from major oil and coal companies and their organizations to do just that. And they have ads, sell items – and have Amazon links on their sites. I haven’t heard of any green writers getting grants from corporations, or governments, or anyone. (Feel free to donate to the cause.) [...]
